Customary Law, Islamic Law, Civil LawAbstract
The character of customary law and Islamic law on Indonesian civil law provides a rich backdrop
for the cultural and religious values that form the country’s legal framework. Customary law, with
roots in local traditions, presents local wisdom principles integrated into civil regulations, while
Islamic law provides a deep normative dimension based on religious teachings. These two systems
contribute to civil law in Indonesia, creating a unique and complex legal foundation that combines
cultural heritage and religious values.
